_ 2017 BAMA Triathlon:
The 2nd annual BAMA Triathlon will be held on The University of Alabama campus. The swim course will be held in the university aquatic center. The transition area will be located outside of the aquatic center. The bike course will be two laps around the campus of the University of Alabama. The run course will be a one lap loop completely on the UA campus and take you by the Quad.

Course Information:
SWIM:
The swim is a 400 meter pool swim in the UA aquatic center. Participants start at one side of the pool and snake their way up and down each lane as they work towards the other side of the pool. Being a pool swim race, participants must submit an estimated 100 meter swim time when registering. These times are used for seeding purposes. It is in your best interest to submit a time as accurate as possible. Submitting a time that is too fast for you puts you up with swimmers who will be passing you during the swim – not good for you or them. Putting a time that is too slow places you with slower swimmers and forces you to have to pass everyone. The ideal scenario for all participants is to have people submit accurate times – the whole swim flows better. Swim caps are provided.
BIKE:
The bike course is a two lap 20K route. The course is flat and takes place on the UA campus grounds. The roads are open to traffic – but traffic is usually fairly light.
RUN:
The 5K run course is a single loop – totally on the UA campus. The course is flat and will take participants around Denny Chimes and the Quad before returning to the UA aquatic center.
