The University of Rochester Triathlon Club is proud to host the Honeoye Lake Triathlon for Sandy as a fundraiser for the Golisano Children's Hospital. The triathlon consists of a .5 mile swim in Honeoye Lake, followed by a 12.5 mile bike, finishing off with a 3.1 mile run around the lake. The course takes racers through the beautiful areas surrounding the lake, finishing at a large reception for both racers and anyone who wants to support the children's hospital. Local businesses and food trucks, as well as University of Rochester performance groups, will be present at the reception.
Racers can begin arriving at 7:00AM. Parking will be located at 3M Park (the finish line). Once parked, racers can then bring their bike and any other gear to transition to check-in and get set up. Racers will then head out onto the bike course, which is pictured below. Upon completion of their bike, racers will replace their bikes in transition and head out to complete their run, also pictured below. Racers will finish in 3M park where post race festivities will take place. The race course will close as soon as the last racer finishes and at this time transition will open for racers to collect their belongings.
