_ 2017 Cardinal Sprint Triathlon:
This Sprint distance triathlon is being held as a fundraiser for the UofL Swimming and Diving team. The race will consist of a 400m pool swim, 20k bike, and 5k run. The swim will take place in the University of Louisville's pool, the Ralph Wright Natatorium. The bike segment will consist of 4 loops, and take athletes on a 5k loop around campus showcasing all of the amazing athletic facilities the university has to offer. The run will consist of a 4k loop through the middle of campus. All courses will be closed to traffic, and this will be a USA Triathlon Sanctioned event.
Age groups will be begin at 12-15, 16-19, andthe rest will be the USAT standard 5 year increments. (anyone under 12 wishing to race must contact the race director)
Every participant will receive a short sleeve race tee as well as a custom finsher medal.
All categories will receive custom awards for the top 3 in each age group.
Participants will be seeded based off of estimated 400m swim times, and started in 5 second intervals.
