2011 Naval Station Newport Sprint Triathlon:

  • The fourth annual Naval Station Newport Sprint Triathlon includes a 1/3 mile swim 10.5 mile bike 3 mile run.

    • Course Information:


  • Start with a 1/3 mile swim set in a sheltered, shallow salt water cove with an incredible view of a decommissioned Navy aircraft carrier.
  • After the swim head to a large transition area and proceed to the 10.5 mile bike course on and off naval station property following the beautiful Narragansett Bay.
  • The final part is a 3 mile run though Naval Station Newport with ocean veiws and historical naval buildings.

  • $30 for military affliated
  • $45 for DOD Civilians
  • $60 for general public
  • $75 for 2 or 3 member relay teams
