2011 Holy Toledo Triathlon:
Course Information:
Swim:
1 mile swim in Toledo Bend Reservoir, that big long lake that keeps Louisiana and Texas from bumping into each other.
Wetsuits allowed and recommended, water temp usually around 66-72 deg that time of year.
Bike: 40 mile bike is all on remarkably good pavement, including a lot of dedicated bike lane.
Out & Back course, flat-to-rolling for most of the route with the exception of a section of hills going out & back into the Cypress Bend Resort that must be done on the way out (roughly at mile 4) and back (roughly at mile 36).
These are not really that easy, 39x26 is not out of line.
Run: 10 mile run has 2 off-road sections (+/- 4 miles) that is on power-line trails, "challenging" is a fair description.
