- Join us for the 2017 Noah's "Blaze the Trail" 5K Trail Run through beautiful Jackson Lake Island, home of Spectre, one of the movie sets for BIG FISH! This race benefits The Noah Foundation, Inc. and New Hope Academy, helping children with learning differences and disabilities in the Central Alabama area. We are blazing the trail with innovative strategies, therapies, and technologies for these children. Like the children we serve, this trail run offers so many unique aspects for a run! You will experience the lakefront, wildlife, Spectre outskirts, and woodlands. Your admission includes the perk of spending the day exploring Jackson Lake Island after the race, including fishing, kayaking/canoeing (bring your own), picnicking, birdwatching...lots of activities!

17 and under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+

Event details and schedule

Noah's "Blazing the Trail" 5K Trail Run begins at the Pavilion on Jackson Lake Island. When you turn onto Cypress Lane from the Alabama River Parkway, you will follow Cypress Lane to the gate. Please have "5K" written on a piece of paper on your dashboard so that you can gain entry to the race. These will be provided for you if you pick up your packet early. Follow the signs to the Pavilion, where you will park for free and come to the Pavilion for easy registration. Advance packet pick up will be available Tuesday, 2/21, Wednesday, 2/22, and Thursday, 2/23/2017 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at New Hope Academy, 301 Water St., Prattville, AL (in the former Pratt Court Baptist Church Building). Race day registration and packet pick up on February 25th, 2017 from 7:00 am to 7:45 am. Race warm-up is from 7:45 am to 8:00 am. The race begins at 8:00 am.
