_ 2017 Venice YMCA Triathlon:
The Venice YMCA hosts a triathlon each fall on a closed course that moves from the Sharky's on the Beach through downtown Venice.
The event is USAT sanctioned, and is open to individuals or relay teams.
Awards are presented five deep in each division:
Course Information:
- The race begins with a 400-meter swim in the open water of the Gulf of Mexico (expected water temp. = 85 degrees), point-to-point.
- Continue on with a Bike 12.5 miles on a CLOSED loop on Harbor Dr. & through Maxine Barritt Park.
- Finish with a 5 kilometer (3.1 mile) run through brand new Maxine Barritt Park and Caspersen's Beach park.

Venice is in western Florida, south of Sarasota, north of Fort Myers
- US 41 Business to Venice Avenue,
- Turn left on to Harbor Drive.
- Proceed all the way down to Sharkys!
