_ 2017 FGCU Eagle Sprint Triathlon:
Race proceeds will be used to fund development opportunities for Campus Recreation student staff members.
Through attending conferences and workshops, the students will be able to bring new ideas back to the campus community, and develop of valuable connections for their future careers.
Course Information:
Swim
The race will feature a 1/4 mile open water swim in Lake Como, located right on campus at the FGCU Waterfront.
Bike
The 10 mile bike will begin and end near Alico Arena, taking riders off campus: south on Ben Hill Griffin Rd, across I-75 via the Estero Blvd bridge, and then looping back to campus after turning around on Three Oaks Blvd near Three Oaks Park.
Run
The 5K run will conclude the event, with the course sending athletes around the campus loop road. Athletes will complete the sprint triathlon near Alico Arena.
