_ 2017 Tucson Family Triathlon:

A fun event designed for Kids and their adult members or families to enjoy together! Non-competitive, participatory style triathlon will let young people get their feet wet in multi-sport. Unlike most other kid's tri's, adult mentors like a parent, friend, or coach can register for the event to swim, bike and run with their youth. We want everyone to enjoy a healthy day together and leave with a smile.

One adult is welcome to help the youth in the transition area (with required wrist band obtained at packet pick-up).

Younger children (about ages 3-6) can choose a shorter distance triathlon- 25yd swim/ .5 mile bike/ .25 mile run.  A parent or mentor should be in the pool or poolside during the swim and MUST accompany the child in the transition area.

School-age children (about ages 5-12) can choose a mid distance - 50 yd swim/ 3 mile bike/ .5 mile run. 

Older children, teens or adults (recommended over age 12) can choose the Super Sprint distance 200 yd serpentine swim/ 5 mile bike/ 1 mile run.  Remember that you are the best examples of good sportsmanship and you should help younger athletes have a good experience. 

All adults who wish to bike or run in the event must register.

In ALL events, parents should help their youth choose the distance that is appropriate for their age and ability. This is a participatory event- no timing- no age group awards- just good, healthy fun.

April 10- last day to register online.

April 15- Packet Pickup at TJCC 3800 E River road 3:00 pm- 5:30 pm - Recommended- you CAN register here!

April 17- 7 am transition area opens. Late packet pickup and you can register here!

8:00 am start time for 25 yd, ORANGE (25 yd/.25 mile/.25 mile)

8:10 am start time for 50 yd, BLUE (50 yd/3 mile/.5 mile)

8:20 am start time 50yd wave 2

8:30 am start time for 200 yd, RED (Super Sprint 200yd/5mile/1mile)
