Join VTTR in support of the community during our "Adopt A Highway" roadside trash pick-up, and enjoy post event donuts and coffee with the crew. The first 8 folks who sign up get a VTTR winter beanie skull, so sign up now. No cost to sign up: we just need advanced sign up to ensure we get safety vests and donuts for all. Select a vest size when you sign up, and indicate if you are under the age of 18.
Important Facts:
1) Our road section is in Mathews Co Virginia, a 2.2 mile section of Hwy 14, between Church St (Rte 611) and Ridge Rd (Rte 626). The Mathews Recycling Center (trash dump) is approx halfway in the middle of the area.
2) We will NOTpick up litter “IN” the roadway or close to the edge of the roadway.
3) We will NOT pick up debris beyond VDOT Right-of-Way. Example: litter, signs, items such as furniture, tires, etc. (considered private property)
