_ 2017 TAT Tulsa Triathlon:
Tulsa Area Triathletes is excited for this year's Tulsa Triathlon! This year the Tulsa Triathlon will be returning to Twin Cove Point at Birch Lake in Barnsdall, OK on May 20 - 21, 2017. This is a beautiful location for swimming, cycling and running. Course maps posted under Downloads to the left side of this area.
The events for the 2017 Tulsa Triathlon will be on Saturday 5/20 a Sprint and Kids' distance. Sunday 5/21 will feature an Olympic, Aquabike and 70.3 distance.
Returning this year 70.3 distance: 1.2 m swim, 56m bike and 13.1m run. We will also have the Aquabike for the Olympic and 70.3 distance.
All participants will receive a race shirt and swim cap that must be worn during swim. All finishers will receive a finishers medal and delicious food at the end. "Doubler Finishers" will receive some special SWAG on Sunday.
All 70.3 finishers will receive a Finishers Shirt at the end of the race Sunday!!
Five year age group awards for Sprint, Olympic, and 70.3 distance.
Top 3 overall award for the Doubler Finishers.
Course Information:
All swimming will be in the lake in open water. There will be water support in the lake. Lake temperatures will be measured the morning of the race to determine if wet suit legal. (Swim will be 2 loops for Oly & 70.3)
70.3 will be a two loop course for the bike and run, see course maps. TIME CUTOFF FOR Sunday 70.3 BIKE IS 2:00PM. All 70.3 participants must be in transition by 2:00pm to be able to start run portion. Any participants who arrive in transition after 2:00pm will NOT be able to continue onto run.
