YOUTH Duathlon- Can you run and ride a bike? Are looking for a new challenge? We will have different distances for each age group. This is a family friendly event where we encourage all abilities to enter and complete the course. Timing splits will be recorded for all 5 areas and medals will be awarded to every finisher. Music and food will follow. Transition and finish line will be near or in the NLHS parking lot this year. Everyone will run and bike on closed roads/trails. All biking is done on paved roads. Training wheels can be used. Helmets are required for all. One time $10 USAT membership will be added at checkout if you are not already a USAT member. Membership covers all USAT events for the year, including Proud to TRI, Norwich Splash and Dash etc. This is one of the three TRIPLE CROWN events. If you are competing in all three- select the TRIPLE CROWN registration at checkout and it will register you for all three.
Course Information:
Ages 5-6 Run .5 miles/ bike 1 mile/ run .5 miles
Ages 7-8 Run .7 miles/ bike 1 mile/run .7 miles
Ages 9-10 Run .7 miles/ bike 2 miles/ run .7 miles
Ages 11-17 Run 1 mile/ bike 4 miles/ run 1 mile
Particpants will all receive a medal at the finish. Trophies will be given out to the top three male/female finishers per age group (not division).
