  • AA Sports is also excited to announce that the Breast Cancer Fund will again be the official non-profit beneficiary for the 2008 LUNA All Womens event.

    Breast Cancer Fund Mission Statement
  • In response to the public health crisis of breast cancer, the Breast Cancer Fund identifies and advocates for elimination of the environmental and other preventable causes of the disease. Founded in 1992, the Breast Cancer Fund works from the knowledge that breast cancer is not simply a personal tragedy, but a public health priority that demands action from all.

  • LUNA All Womens Triathlon & Duathlon is raising money for breast cancer prevention.
  • $1 from every registration will be donated to the Breast Cancer Fund, a national nonprofit working to identify and to eliminate the environmental causes of the disease.

    ABOUT THIS EVENT
  • The All Womens Triathlon & Duathlon will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, and is part of a two-day event that includes the Mid-Summer Triathlon/Duathlon held on Sunday, August 3rd.
  • Both days will consist of a festival of events including a Sport & Fitness Expo, music, BBQ brunch, prizes, and most of all fun and camaraderie.
  • This event is limited to 1000 participants each day.

    COURSE INFORMATION:
  • Swim: Triangular lake swim (water temperature in the mid to upper 70s).
  • Bike (Triathlon & Duathlon): Semi-closed (local traffic only) out-and-back on a section of Marine Drive west of Blue Lake Park.
  • Run (Triathlon & Duathlon): Flat and fast within Blue Lake Park and along the Marine Drive bike path.
