Who's ready to BATTLE it out on the snow?!? 
The BASH Winter Race Festival is a day full of racing on the snow! From the headlining Full Distance National Winter Tri Championships (Run, Mtn. Bike, XC Ski)...to the 5K Snowshoe Fun Run & Kid's 1/2 Mile Moon Boot Stomp (Fun Run), there is something for everyone. Each race takes place on the professionally groomed XC ski trails of the World famous Soldier Hollow (former 2002 Winter Olympic Venue). BASH is a perfect way to learn new sports, improve your base fitness, and expand your skills as a multi-sport athlete during the off-season.

Race Venue - Soldier Hollow Legacy Park:
All races take place on the groomed ski trails of the World-class former Olympic venue of Soldier Hollow Legacy Park.

From Salt Lake City:
 take I-80 East to Silver Creek Junction (exit 146). Go east on U.S. 40 past Jordanelle Reservoir toward Heber City. Take right turn on State Road 113 (100 South) to Midway. Take a left on 113 in Midway, and travel two miles. Turn right just before the railroad tracks and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park, Soldier Hollow is about 53 miles from downtown Salt Lake City.

From Park City:
 Take State Road 248 East to U.S. 40 to Heber City and then follow U.S. 40 to Highway 189. Take 189 to State Road 113, turn right onto State Road 113. Follow 113 until right after railroad tracks, turn left and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park.

From Provo:
 Take I-15 South to the Orem 8th north exit to US 189 drive east through Provo Canyon until you reach State Road 113. Turn left onto State Road 113, follow 113 until right after railroad tracks, turn left and follow signs to Soldier Hollow. Located in Wasatch Mountain State Park.

Qualifying for 2011 Winter Triathlon Worlds - Full Triathlon Distance:
The top three male and female American finishers in the 2011 BASH Full Distance Triathlon, will qualify for the ITU Elite Winter Triathlon World Championships that will be held February, 2011 (location TBA). The top 3 American finishers per gender at the Winter Nationals event will qualify for the Elite Team with NO roll downs. Unfilled slots will be selected via resume submission. Resumes must be submitted to the National Office no later than January 17th, 2011. To be eligible for selection an athlete does not need to be a licensed elite but must be a current USA Triathlon annual member. Above information to be finalized by USAT Board of Directors.

Qualified athletes will receive $1200 travel stipend, uniform as well as paid entry. Athletes do not have to be a USAT Elite Member but must have a current USAT Membership - Elite or Amateur. There is a $3,000 prize purse for male and female Elite athletes in the BASH Full Distance Triathlon ($800 1st, $500 2nd, $200 3rd).

The top three Age Group athletes also qualify but are fully responsible for their own costs if they choose to attend the World Championship.
