On May 21st 2011 the American Lung Association in Vermont will be hosting their third annual "Climb the Bennington Monument". Stair Climb events are sweeping the country and seeing great success because of its test of one's physical strength, stamina, and lung power. Our mutual desire to improve lung health is mirrored by these individuals and teams that are lining up to take on the stairs and support a cause.
Course Information:
Individuals will race or walk up 417 steps/34 flights of the Bennington Monument as fast as they can in honor or in memory of someone affected by lung disease. At the end of the climb, participants will experience beautiful views from the observation level of historic Bennington as well as VT, NY, and Massachusetts.

Please join us for this unique and challenging event-this is the only time during the year at the stairwell is open to the public and this is the only Stair Climb event in the country that's in a historic monument. Let's make this Vermont Climb one to remember!
