We are excited for the official launch of the 2014 Tri-Insanity Triathlons in Indianapolis! If you like to race fast at beautiful venues close to home-then this race is for you. Hawthorn Lake is located 25 miles from the center of Indianapolis, and is exactly 20 miles west of 465-all on HWY 36. It is extremely close and offers athletes a venue that until now has been used solely for local and national water skiing events. The homeowners at Hawthorn Lake are excited to expand the athletic event offerings at the Lake and welcome triathletes from Indy and beyond. The swim is in pristine flat water that is kept in top notch appearance and quality by the homeowners. After the swim athletes will do the bike and run on Hendricks County roads which present minimal traffic. Hendricks County Sheriffs will be set up with our course marshals providing safety and right of way to the athletes. Both the bike and run legs are flat and fast, allowing athletes to focus on racing. This summer it is time to Raise the Bar and go Beyond the Limit at Tri-Insanity!
