2014 Hunting Park Family Triathlon & Duathlon:
TriYouthalon, Philadelphia Parks and Recreation and Simple Cycle have the pleasure of kicking-off the 3rd Annual Hunting Park Family Fun & Fitness Day!
We are proud to host a Family Triathlon & Duathlon.
Remember to bring all the family to the race and family friends, too.
This race is a challenge for kids of all abilities, adults entering the triathlon sport, families racing together or kids/adults having fun racing on their own.

Hunting Parks 25 yard pool will be used for the swim. Lifeguards are present at all swims. All swimmers should be capable of swimming without touching the bottom. Let the Race Director know at [email protected] if you have any questions about the swim or if you or your racer is a tentative swimmer. | |||

Once you mount your bike outside of transition (with your bike helmet snapped), the course is a 1 mile loop. Our athletes 7 - 11 complete two loops while 12 - 16 and adults complete 5 loops (or 5 miles). | |||

Some of our racers, the Duathletes, will skip the swim and begin their race with a run. 7 - 11 year-olds will begin with a 1/4 mile run and all others will run 1/2 mile. Both Triathletes and Duathletes, after they have finished the bike portion, complete a run of 1/2 mile (7 - 11) and 1 mile (12 - adult). The runs are on the paved paths. | |||
