Golden Gardens is an historic park originally developed in 1907 to lure Seattleites to the end of the new electric car line. Well swim 3/4 mile in Puget Sound along this picturesque beach. Often windy and choppy, this is a thrilling place to swim. You will end this Excursion getting warm and toasty as you sip hot chocolate around a fragrant bonfire. Restrooms available.

The Details
Time: 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Length: .75 mile
Level: Medium. Be ready for water temperatures of 54-56 degrees. You will feel most comfortable if you have tried swimming in Puget Sound earlier this year.
Qualities: Gorgeous views of the Olympics on a clear day.
Water: Salt
Wetsuit: Mandatory. Thick neoprene cap and earplugs advised.
