Three-person relay teams are welcomed in both the sprint and olympic races. Teams will compete in female, male, and co-ed divisions in each race.
The olympic race will begin first, with the sprint race starting shortly after. The number of entrants in each age group and gender will determine the number of starting waves. Final start times and wave details will be sent out to athletes a week prior to the event.
In addition to finisher medals, awards will be given out to athletes that place overall and in their age groups. There is no double-dipping.

Parking for the Baltimore Triathlon is available only in designated areas. Attendants will be present to direct traffic the morning of the race.
Official chip timing will be handled by Elite Race Management. Participants will receive accurate times for each segment of the race, including transitions, as well as ranking based on each segment.
The Baltimore Triathlon is a USA Triathlon Sanctioned event, and adheres to all USAT rules and procedures. A complete listing of USAT rules can be found on the USA Triathlon Website.
Packets will be available for pickup prior to race day, as well as the morning of the race. Please check back for the latest information. Per USAT rules, you must pick up your race packet in person and bring photo identification, along with your USAT card if you are a member.
What Do I Get?Each registrant in the olympic and sprint races will receive the following items:
RACE SHIRT
The Baltimore Triathlon will offer a performance blended shirt with gender-specific cuts.
SWIM CAP
Individual registrants will receive a colored swim cap with the Baltimore Triathlon logo that corresponds to their wave group. For relays, the swim leg will receive the swim cap.
NUMBER
In addition to body marking, each participant will receive a helmet number, bike number, and bib number. The bib number is only required for the run portion, and must be worn on the front of the body and visible at all times.
FINISHERS MEDAL
All participants in the individual and relay races will receive a Baltimore Triathlon finishers medal specific to their distance upon completion of the race.
POST-RACE FOOD & DRINK
Participants are encouraged to stick around after the races for complimentary food and refreshments.
Water temperatures at Hammerman Beach have historically hovered around 70 degrees at the end of September, and we expect that the race will be wetsuit legal. A final measurement will be taken the morning of the race, and results communicated to all athletes at the pre-race meeting.
