The 2014 Montclair Triathlon is a Sprint Distance USAT Sanctioned Event for Novice to Expert triathletes. Beautiful setting at Lake Montclair just outside DC. Calm water makes for a fast swim on the triangle course. Bike is a two loop course in the community of Montclair. Followed up by the run along the dam of Lake Montclair and the surrounding community.

Discounts for 18 and unders to introduce more youth to the event. Also, we support our veterans with a discount as well.

Don't want to do a complete TRI? There is a Relay division as well:)

Course Information:

The swim takes place in beautiful Lake Montclair. This is an open water start with swim start waves based on the number of participants. The swim course is a triangle swim marked with orange buoys on the straights every 100 meters and 150 meters on the turn marked with two yellow buoys. Swimmers will keep the buoys on their right going counter clockwise. Swimmers will exit the course at Dolphin Beach.

The bike takes place in the community of Montclair. This is a two loop course with long straights.

The run takes place on wide paths, roads and sidewalks Montclair Community. Beautiful scenery especially as you cross the dam of Lake Montclair.

From Washington DC and areas Northeast: Take I95 South to Exit 152B, 1 mile and turn left on Waterway Dr. Go .2 mile and turn right onto Ashgrove Dr. Go .1 mile and take first left on Dolphin Drive. After .2 mile turn right onto Spillway DrRoute 234 North. Go 2.2 miles and turn right on Kevin Walker Drive. Go .1 mile and turn left on Waterway Dr. Go .2 mile and turn right onto Ashgrove Dr. Go .1 mile and take first left on Dolphin Drive. After .2 mile turn right onto Spillway Dr.

From Manassas and Areas Northwest: Take Route 234 south approximately 19 miles and turn left on Country Club Drive. .1 mile and turn left on Waterway Dr. Go .2 mile and turn right onto Ashgrove Dr. Go .1 mile and take first left on Dolphin Drive. After .2 mile turn right onto Spillway Dr.

From Richmond and areas South: Take I95 North to Exit 152B, 1 mile and turn left on Waterway Dr. Go .2 mile and turn right onto Ashgrove Dr. Go .1 mile and take first left on Dolphin Drive. After .2 mile turn right onto Spillway Dr.
