2014 Towne Lake Triathlon:
• We are proud to announce that the Towne Lake Triathlon will again take place on Labor Day, September 1, 2014 at beautiful Towne Lake in Cypress, Texas.
• Athletes will notice this year that the Houston Triathlon has moved to Sugar Land and Towne Lake has it's own event named solely after this great development.
Course Information:
This race is for EVERYONE. Beginner, intermediate, advanced or pro, we challenge you to complete it, grab a personal best or even smash the course record. The course is easy, flat, and safe which lends itself well to laying it all down and giving it 100% effort to see what you're truly capable of. The Olympic swim consists of 2 out-and-back sections forming an "L." The Sprint swim is a traditional rectangle swam counter clockwise. The run course is a 1 (sprint) or 2-loop (Olympic) giving cyclists an entire lane and shoulder (in areas) to ride on with all protected right hand turns. The run course is either an out-and-back or lollipop shaped course depending on if you're doing the sprint or Olympic distance race and everyone finishes at the same point with a great custom high quality medal, delicious food and drink, and great awards ceremony.
