2014 Gator Bait Sprint Triathlon:

This will be the 7th year that Redemption Racing has produced this race. This is a favorite race for many local and out of town folks.
The race features an open water swim, beautiful bike course set in the Texas Hill Country and a semi-offroad run on the dam and around the park. New this year is the addition of a Olympic distance that will be held at the same time.
Custom Finisher Medals Tech T-Shirts - Must signup before 5-21-2014. Great Post Part Food.
This popular race has sold out the last 4 years and is limited.

Course Information:

Swim: 500 meter / 1500 meter

This Triathlon features an open water swim in a clear beautiful lake.

We start the swim 1 participant at a time running through a chute. This spreads everyone out a little and is a safety feature.

Bike: 13 mile / 24.5 mile

The bike ride is in the Beautiful Texas hill country and has rolling hills. The turnaround point is located on top of Heartbreak hill.

Run: 3.4 mile / 5.9 mile

The run features off-road and pavement and includes running on the Dam and around the park.

Boerne Town Lake:

Boerne Town Lake, Boerne, Texas is located north of San Antonio off of IH10

Directions:

North on IH10, exit Ranger Creek Road, mile marker # 538.

Left on Ranger Creek Road, under the freeway and then an immediate right turn on the IH10 access road.

Head north and then take a left on Upper Cibolo Rd. Proceed on Upper Cibolo and then take a left into the par

Trivia:

The original name for this event was the Gator Bait Triathlon, however during the permit process in 2008 someone killed the 7ft Alligator that swam in Boerne Lake. This 7h annual Triathlon will honor the memory of the Alligator with a special T-shirt and award
