This is a 5k Trail run through Latta Plantation Nature Preserve. The trails meander through various burn units where prescribed fire has been used to benefit plants and wildlife. Come learn about the benefits of prescribed fire in Mecklenburg County Nature Preserves! Smokey Bear will be there to cheer you on. There will be free nature tours following the 5k and Kids Race.
