Join us for
4th annual West Side Duathlon. The run course follows a fun mix of paved
roads, bike paths and grass trails. The bike route is best described as
rolling hills with a nice fast section on the backside. The race offers
great post-race food, raffle prizes and a tech shirt for each athlete!
This is the final event in the 2013 Mile High Duathlon Series, which celebrates
14 years of fun run-bike-run action in the Denver area!
Course Information:
The 5k run
course is fairly flat, on a mix of road, paved bike path, and dirt trail. The standard distance du follows an identical
5k loop for both runs, with the exception of the opening half-mile. The short course substitutes a 2k opening
run, using the same starting line at the opening 5k run. The 2k run proceeds south on the dirt road
that parallels the canal. At 1k, short course runners merge with the 5k route
and take the dirt trail back to transition.
The bike course is a fun course, with a few rolling hills and nice
scenery at the base of the foothills.
