The 7th annual Oktoberfest Triathlon is the party of the year and championship to the Colorado Triathlon Tour!  This race, the 5th stop on the Colorado Tour, will officially end the Colorado Triathlon Season!  It's been a long fun season but before the leaves change and the snow begins to fall let's get one more triathlon celebration in.

The Oktoberfest Triathlon is about friends and teammates, smiling and cheering.  Men's or woman's cut technical t-shirts are back.  Great goodie bags, one of our biggest expos of the year, a ton of raffles, and a closed race course are just some of the highlights.  This race is capped at 500 athletes to maintain a fun, yet lively, and laid back feel.  Due to the low cap we've sold out the past 6 years so be be sure to take advantage of early registration.  Every year we pick a different Lander (province) in Germany as a theme for the event t-shirts!  2011 T-Shirt Theme was Baden-Wurttemberg (Red), 2012 Sachsen-Anhalt (Green), 2013 Saarland (Blue) and 2014 will be Hessen (Light Blue)!

Course Information:

OKTOBERFEST TRIATHLON SWIM COURSE (750 Meters): The triathlon course for the Outdoor Divas Sprint Triathlon will take place in and around Union reservoir, offering breathtaking views of the snowcapped mountains only miles away.  The swim course is rectangular shaped, with the swimmers traveling in a counter clockwise direction.  Participants exit the water at the northern end of the course next to the dock/boat ramp and run about 100 yards to the transition area along a carpeted path.  Yes you read that correctly the path from the waters edge to the T/A will be CARPETED!!! The water temperature at Union Reservoir normally ranges between mid to high 70s this time of year.

OKTOBERFEST TRIATHLON BIKE COURSE (12.4 Miles): The triathlon course for the Outdoor Divas Sprint Triathlon will take place in and around Union reservoir, offering breathtaking views of the snowcapped mountains only miles away.  The bike course is a three-lap course - each lap being 4 miles in length. The course is COMPLETELY CLOSED TO TRAFFIC!!! .  The bike course will take you out of the Union Park area and onto a very flat and fast course with no hills to speak of.  Please be sure to review the map as you'll be on the left hand side of the road on CR26 heading out then when you return after the last lap you'll come into the Res on the left hand side.

OKTOBERFEST TRIATHLON RUN COURSE (3.1 Miles):  The 5K run is an out & back course along the dirt road adjacent to Union reservoir, with only one short hill to climb just before mile 1.  On the way back dont forget to look just beyond the water and youll see a breathtaking view of Longs peak and many other snow capped mountains.  There will be an aid station at just past the 1st mile that you'll hit twice on the out & back course.

OKTOBERFEST TRIATHLON TRANSITION AREA: Without Limits triathlon staging areas are set up to ensure the safety and privacy of the racers and the security of their equipment. Please follow these guidelines: The Transition Area Opens at 6:15 am.  Race staff will close the transition area 15 minutes prior to the start of the 1st wave (7:45AM).  All Athletes must be out of the T/A by this time. Please Gauge your time accordingly! The transition area is strictly limited to racers only No family members, friends or coaches inside transition.
