2014 TexasMan Triathlon:
The TexasMan Sprint features a sand beach swim start. The bike ride features some Texas hills. (If youre not from Texas, a Texas hill is just that a hill which breaks up the flat terrain of the area). The run is mostly tree lined through the state park.Race features:
- Open to men and women
- Sand beach start to an open-water swim
- Wetsuit legal (Water temps average 71-74 degrees in May.)
- Post-race festivities include a live band
TexasMan has developed the reputation of Energy, FUN, and Organized. If you are not one of the more than 3,000+ athletes from around the country who have experienced TexasMan Weekend, we welcome you to join us for Year Twelve!! The X-50 concept kicked off with the Texas Man Triathlon, in Dallas-Ft.Worth, TX. It ROCKED! GREAT athlete response; higher than expected first-year entries!
Now, In Year Four-2014!
The intent of X-50? is for athletes to achieve both SPEED and ENDURANCE. Longer than an Olympic distance and shorter than a Half-Ironman, the X-50 distances are as follows: 1 mile swim, 40 mile bike, and 9 mile run. The TexasMan Triathlon Series features a sand beach swim start. The bike ride features some Texas hills. Located 15 minutes north of Denton and 50-minutes north from downtown Dallas. Take Interstate 35 to exit 483/FM 3002 and go east approx. 6.4 miles to Johnson Branch Park.
