4th Annual Indoor Triathlon November 16, 2013 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Swim 15 minutes, Bike 30 minutes, Walk/Run 20 minutes. All proceeds go to the Arthritis Foundation. The 3 disciplines are done back to back with 15 minutes transition time between each. Ideal for novice to expert. All participants receive a goody bag and T-shirt. Grand prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers. Complimentary refreshments after the race. To register contact McConnell Heart Health Center at 566-5356 or Deb Rumberger at 566-3833. Prices are: Member individual-$40.00 Nonmember Individual-$50 Member relay - $25 each person Nonmember relay-$35 each (teams of 3) Sign up is limited to the first 40 individual participants and 8 relay teams. * (relay participants create their own team of 3)
Course Information:
15 minute swim/ 30 minute bike/ 20 minute run
The first heat will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the lap pool. The pool is 25 yards long and 4'3" deep. The temperature of the water is 83 degrees. Changing is available between disciplines in a locker room equipped with showers, towels, blow dryers, shampoo, conditioner, deoderant, mouth wash, hair spray, ironing board and iron and lockers. (bring your own lock) The second leg of the triathlon is in the spinning room on the second floor. Their will be volunteers to guide you through your transitions. The third leg is also on the second floor next to the spin room in the cardiac rehab area. The treadmills face the back windows overlooking our pond and woods.
