2010 Los Locos Duathlon:
Come out and join us for the Los Locos Duathlon and One Mile Fun Run!
If you are looking to do your first multisport event, the Los Locos Duathlon and One Mile Fun Run is a first-timers dream! It is the event that has launched many athletes into the multisport world.
Once the duathlon has finished, participants can bask in their glory and watch the popular One-Mile Kids Fun Run.
The kids race begins soon after the last duathlon competitor has crossed the finish line.
The course is two loops of the second half of the duathlon run course around the mall and all participants receive a t-shirt and finishers medal!

Duathlon Race Course:
The race starts with an out-and-back and then a loop around the Lakeland Factory Outlet Mall for the first two-mile run.
Participants then race to their bikes and hit the roads of Lakeland and Arlington for a rolling 15-mile bike ride.
The ride heads out on Monroe to Sumac and then up Old Airline for a challenging climb over Route 385 and then right on Donnelson Road and take it to the first turn-around which is right before you get to Collierville-Arlington Road.
After the turn-around, its all downhill back to Sumac and then a turn on Chambers Chapel which will take you across I-40 to the second turn-around.
Once participants hit the second turn-around, they head back down Chambers Chapel to Monroe and then climb back up to the transition area at the mall to drop off their bikes.
With legs feeling the effects of the challenging bike course, participants head out to repeat the run course on the second run.
After the out-and-back portion, runners hear the crowds cheering as they run right past the finish line and head around the mall to complete the last half-mile of the run course.
