This is the 1st Annual Just Piddlin Pumpkin Run. We are hosting a 10K Road Race and a 5K Trail Run. The proceeds of this event are benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Franklin and Bowling Green, KY.
Course Information:
The 10K travels the gently rolling country roads of north Simpson County. This will be the start of corn harvest in the area. The road map is on the web site.
The 5K Trail Run starts out running through the pumpkin patch travels about .4 miles on blacktop and the rest is through the woods or field borders to the finish line. You will pass a blue hole (underground river surfaces), cave area and stroll through the hybrid walnut trees. It is a beautiful run.
Directions:
From Bowling Green KY: Take 68-80 toward Auburn; turn left onto Hwy. 73; go approximately 1.5 miles to pumpkin patch on left.
From Franklin KY: Take Hwy. 73 (South Morgantown Rd.) toward South Union; go approximately 10 miles to pumpkin patch on right.
From Russellville KY: Take Hwy. 68-80 toward Bowling Green; turn right onto Hwy. 73; go approximately 1.5 miles to pumpkin patch on left.
From I-65: Take KY exit 20 onto the William Natcher Parkway; take exit 7 on right turn left onto Hwy. 68-80. Turn left onto Hwy. 73; go approximately 1.5 miles to pumpkin patch on left.
