2013 Hawk-I-Kids-Triathlon:
The Hawk Island Triathlon, Michigan's most beginner-friendly triathlon, now has an event just for kids - the 1st annual Hawk-I-Kids-Tri! This event is hosted by the Lansing Triathlon Team & South Lansing Community Development Association.
Ages 7-13 can enter the world of triathlon with courses designed just for them, including a swim portion where all participants can touch at all times!
This event celebrates health, self-esteem, self-confidence and fun, in a safe, family-friendly environment. All participants will be cheered through the course and rewarded with a medal at the finish. The top three in each age category will receive an additional award also.
Course Information:
Race Distances By Age
Ages 7 -10: Swim 100 meters, Bike 3 miles, Run 1 mile.
Ages 11-13: Swim 200 meters, Bike 4.5 miles, Run 2 miles
Additional Information
The entire race will be held within Hawk Island County Park, providing parents and spectators with optimum visibility of racers providing our racers with optimum safety throughout the event.
HELMETS ARE REQUIRED!!
