Dirt Trails and Pony Tails 5K is the first of a womens only three race series presented by Trailhead Running. It takes place on Saturday, November 9, 2013 on some spectacular trails in central Austin! In addition to great scenery, runners can expect on course water stops, a spectator-friendly venue, a finisher's gift, a super soft and comfy long sleeved tee shirt, and many other perks. We also offer a registration discount when two women sign up together. Who wouldn't like that?

Each race in the Women on the Trails 5K series offers a fun and challenging event for women who are new to trail running or for experienced runners who are looking for a different type of race venue. Awards will be given to the first three women who cross the finish line (event is not chip timed). Runners who prefer the more "scenic" approach to racing can take their time and enjoy all the course has to offer!

Whether racing or participating, this 5K is a great way to remember what it was like to run on dirt trails with flying pony tails!

Run Green! The woods and trails are our playground and the birds and bugs are our cheering fans. We care about the impact we make so we have partnered with the Council for Responsible Sport to promote environmental best practice standards. The Women on the Trails Race Series, produced by Trailhead Running, is the first complete race series to achieve certification from the Council. Course Information:

The course is a mix of dirt, rock, and mulch and features rolling terrain with the exception of what we are calling "Holy Hill" (as in holy cow that's a BIG hill)! Most of the race is on a disc golf course so bring your frisbee!
