Ready, set, go! The German School Washington D.C. and the
German Language School will jointly host their second annual 5K Oktoberfest Run on Saturday, September 28, 2013 in
Potomac, MD. The event will start off with a 5K run followed by a fun run for
children and will culminate in a traditional Oktoberfest celebration in an
authentic German biergarten atmosphere. Guests can win great prizes during the
silent auction.
Course Information:
USATF certified. Wheelchairs are more than welcome. Strollers and dogs are allowed on
the course. We simply ask that those who bring a stroller or dog to
please start the race toward the back of the pack. Also, those with
dogs MUST have the dog on a short leash to avoid collisions with other
participants. Bicycles, scooters and rollerblades/rollerskates are
prohibited.
Directions:
8617 Chateau Drive, Potomac, MD. Satellite parking will be available at Our Lady of Mercy,
9200 Kentsdale Drive, Potomac and at Seven Locks Elementary School,
9500 Seven Locks Road, Bethesda. Shuttle buses will run continuously
during the following hours: 7:15 am 9:00 am, 10:30 am 2:30 pm.

- Top male/female in the following age groups: 14 and under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and above
- Top 3 overall male/female runners
- Top 5K team
- All fun run participants are winners!
All runners and walkers who register online by September 25, 2013 will receive a technical running shirt. Technical running shirts are not guaranteed for packet pick-up and race day registrants. We therefore encourage you to register early.
