At St. Patrick Center, we're Missouri's largest provider of housing, employment and health opportunities for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We take an action-based approach to service and other nationally recognized programs that assist more than 9,000 people each year. Our Young Friends Development Board is hosting a 5K called Walk a Mile in Our Shoes on Saturday, August 17th in Tower Grove Park, Sons of Rest Shelter at 8:30am. In addition to the timed 5K, we will have a one mile fun run and a kids dash.
Course Information:
Walk a Mile in Our Shoes presented by The Gatesworth, is a family and pet friendly 5K awareness walk/run held at the historic Tower Grove Park, Sons of Rest Shelter. We encourage participants to bring their family including their pets to create awareness about the homeless issues affecting so many people in St. Louis and beyond.

5K Walk/Run Information
Timed and competitive race. All walkers follow 5K runners at start of race. 5K participants will be able to pick up their pre-registration packets and register for Walk a Mile in Our Shoes at Fleet Feet in Des Peres prior to the event. Date coming soon. You may also pick-up your packet on race day at Sons of Rest Shelter. Participant packets include race bib, route map, schedule of events and event t-shirt.
1 Mile Fun Run Information
Untimed, non-competitive. Same start/finish line as 5K. 1 Mile Fun Run participants will not be timed but it is a great way to create awareness about homelessness, stay acitive and spend time with your family, friends and pets in beautiful Tower Grove Park.
