• The swim will be in the beautiful Lake Michigan with expected water temperatures in the low 70s.
• Wetsuits will be allowed so long as the water temperature remains below 78 degrees Fahrenheit.
• The course will be an out and back loop running parallel to the shore, with swimmers heading out to the south and coming back up north.
• Certified lifeguards will monitor the swim course as per USAT regulations.
• The swim will be a wave start beginning at 6:30AM.
  
  Bike:
• The two-loop, out and back bike course will leave the transition area in Gillson Park and head north up Sheridan Road along the lakefront. Riders will take a left on Winnetka Avenue and follow the road through scenic neighborhoods before taking a right on Wilson Street and riding to the turnaround point at Ash Street.
• The course doubles back on itself, and all riders will take two loops of the course before heading back to transition.
• Helmets are required as per ANSI and USAT standards.
  
  Run:
• The scenic, single-loop run course will leave the transition area and head south along Sheridan Road to Linden Avenue before doubling back to follow Sheridan Road north up to Central Street.
• Runners will follow Central Street west to 4th Street, where they will begin a counter-clockwise loop with right turns at Greenleaf Avenue and Poplar Street to return back to Central Avenue.
• Runners will follow Central Avenue east back to Sheridan Road, which will take them all the way to the finish line!
• There will be two aid stations with fluids set up along the 3.1 mile run course.
