2013 Essex Youth Triathlon:
This Triathlon is for youth ages 5 through 15 (as of 12-31-13) with little or no experience, seasoned athletes, para-athletes, special athletes, or any youth who just wants to be active and have fun! Its great to get a trophy, but the real prize is the pride of completing the race.
The goal is to be safe, have fun, and finish!
Each Athlete receives a goodie bag stuffed with free things including a tee shirt and swim cap, and is eligible to win some great raffle prizes after the race.
Top 3 winners in each age group (boy and girl), 5-6, 7-8 9-10 and 11-13 will win a trophy.
Every racer who finishes the race gets a finisher medal and all racers and their well wishers can enjoy free food, face painting, and entertainment.

Distances By Age Group
Ages 5-6: Swim 25 yards splash & Dash, Bike 12 mile, Run 14 mile
Ages 7-10: Swim 45 yards, Bike 2 miles, Run 2/3 mile
Ages 11-15: Swim 65 yards, Bike 4 miles, Run 114 mile
