2013 Fever River Adventure Triathlon:

The Fever River Adventure Triathlon began 10 years ago, when a group of adventure racing buddies got together and decided they wanted to give a gift to the community.

Fever River Racing is a Midwest-based Adventure Racing Team that demonstrates how smart preparation, synergy and teamwork can triumph beyond the limits we face as individuals. It became their goal to demonstrate these team concepts by dedicating their teamwork to the Special Olympics, and in the process offer Special Citizen opportunities to build their confidence through athletic activities.

Course Information:

Racers will line up at Galena Boat Landing (Hwy 20 Bridge) and start in class group heats. Racers paddle 3 miles downstream on the Galena River, round a buoy, then paddle back to start.

This is followed by a 17 mile bicycle which starts and ends at the Galena Boat Landing.

After transitioning off the bike, racers will run 3.1 miles (out and back) on the flat Galena River Trail.

Racers finish at the Galena Boat Landing.
