All are invited to join the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) in our fundraising efforts to support the Richard Family, who lost their son Martin in the Boston Marathon bombings in April. Martin's sister and mother also sustained serious injuries because of the attacks. Bill Richard is personally connected to NEWEA, but the tragedy has affected individuals across New England. We extend our hand to the community of Cape Cod to join us for a 5/10K Walk/Run/Bike to comfort a community member in need.
Later in the day, NEWEA will host a Silent Auction, also for the Richard Family Fund. We are looking for donations of auction items and all are welcome to bid.
The 5/10K event & auction will conclude NEWEA's Spring Meeting, a conference focused on the water quality issues and projects from Cape Cod and throughout New England. NEWEA is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the protection and enhancement of the New England water environment and serves over 2,000 members.
