Swim a Mile for Hospice is a community swim (not a race!) around Hannawa Pond for people ages 14 and over. Together we raise funds which will go directly to support patient and family services here in St. Lawrence County. Thank you so much for your support!
Course Information:
Everyone completes the swim at her or his own rate: some more experienced swimmers finish the course in about 30 minutes; others take more than an hour, stopping to chat and dog-paddle as they move around the lake. Speed is not the important thing. What is important is sharing a unique athletic experience on Hannawa Pond and raising money for Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley in the process. Prizes are given to those swimmers and boaters who raise the most money in sponsorships.
