The race begins with a 750m swim in Snow Lake. The first heat will go off at 8am and there will then be a five minute interval between heats.
After completing the swim you'll hop on your bike and start the first of three loops around the Mount Snow Base Area. Get ready for a climb right away as you head up to and behind the Grand Summit Resort Hotel before biking over Main Street where all the spectators will be cheering you on. You will then continue on out the North Access Road to Rt 100, down to Tannery Road, and back onto Handle Road to bring you back to the transition area. Each loop is four miles long for a total distance of 12 miles.
Lastly you will hop off your bike and begin the run by heading back the way you just came in, up Handle Road to the Carinthia Base Area. Say goodbye to the pavement because from Carinthia we send you out on our cross country style Base Area Loop trail where rocks and roots are part of the game. The Base Area Loop will bring you right back to Main Street for a finish in front of the Bluebird Barn, completing a three mile run and an AWESOME triathlon!
