2013 Storm the Lake Triathlon:

  • The Storm the Lake Sprint Triathlon is staged at the beautiful 3,000 acre Storm Lake in Storm Lake, IA.
  • The swim from the beach at Kings Pointe Waterpark and Resort followed by biking around the lake.
  • End by running a loop from Kings Pointe and back.
  • This event is sponsored by Storm Lake HyNoon Kiwanis as a charity to help Eliminate MNT (maternal/neonatal tetanus)

    • Course Information:



  • The 800m swim will begin and end at the beach of Kings Pointe.
  • Swimmers will transition to bikes at Kings Point and ride 12.5 miles around the lake returning to Kings Point for the 5K run which will loop back to Kings Point.

    • Directions:



  • Storm Lake is located in northwest Iowa 70 miles east of Sioux City, IA, 2 12 hours north of Omaha, NE or three hours northwest of Des Moines, IA. It is on US Hwy 71.
  •  Kings Pointe is right on US 71.
