The ETA swim clinic is a great way to dramatically improve your swimming confidence, skills, and overall ability. The 12-Session progressive swim clinic will be held by ETA Head Coach Jason Kilderry, Coach Greg Wilkinson, and Coach Bill Sepich over a five month period.

The swim clinic is for those individuals who can swim independently, but are looking to become more efficient with their stroke and improve race performances. Participants will learn how to swim the freestyle with proper kick, arm movement, breathing pattern, and timing of the stroke. The emphasis will be on learning the most effective drills to improve freestyle for open water and triathlon swim performance.

Since there will be an emphasis on drill work, fins are required for all participants. Perfecting one's stroke mechanics through drills is the key to improving freestyle. Swimming requires improved technique to continually see improvements. Therefore swimming more and more yardage incorrectly does not improve freestyle performance.

Each session will last 60 minutes, which will include both drill instruction and swim training. Since the clinic is progressive, participants are highly encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible.

Session dates:
Jan 16, 23, 30
Feb 6, 20
March 6, 20

Meet The Coaches:

Jason Kilderry

Jason is a USAT Level 1 certified coach as well as a National Strength and Conditioning Association-Certified Personal Trainer. He holds a degree in Health and Exercise Science from Rowan University, and is currently pursuing a masters degree in exercise physiology. Jason is the owner of ETA Coach, and is a member of the PhysFarm Coaching Consortium. Greg Wilkinson

Greg Wilkinson is an ETA athlete, seventh grade math teacher, Doctoral Student, and summer swim coach.  Greg is a former Division I college swimmer with over 20 years of competitive swimming experience.  Greg initially started his swimming career for the Pheasant Run Flyers and then continued his career for Moorestown High School and the Burlington County YMCA Hurricanes.  During high school, Greg received all county honors in sprint and distance freestyle events.  At the conclusion of high school, Greg continued his swimming career at Towson University.  A four year scholar athlete, Greg participated in the 200, 500, 1000, and 1650 freestyle events and continued to set personal best times.  For the past two years Greg has participated in the Sprint and Olympic distance lengths in triathlon.  After having much success, he has decided to race Half-Ironman distances for upcoming seasons.
Bill Sepich

Bill Sepich is an ETA athlete and graduated form Villanova University in 2009.  He was a member of the Cross Country (4 yrs), Track (4 yrs), and Swim teams (3 yrs). Bill saw the most success in track during his junior year, when he started becoming a bigger part of the swim team. He was the first D-1 athlete to compete in conference championships for two sports, in the same season, on the same weekend. Bill saw his biggest gains in the pool during his senior year, and graduated as Villanova's Big East Scholar-Athlete of the year.
Bill has been coaching and providing swim lessons for four years. He is a big believer in hard work and attention to detail.  It's not about showing up to the pool and putting in excess volume; it's about the specific work you do to improve your mechanics.
