2013 Tolland Sprint Triathlon:
  • The Annual Summer Solstice Triathlon is scheduled to be held at Crandall Park on Saturday, June 15th.
  • Following the success of last years event organizers hope to make the 2013 event bigger and better.

    • Course Information:


    All events Start and end at Crandall Park in Tolland, Connecticut.

    Swim:
  • The open water swim will take place in Crandall Park
  • It will consist of two laps around the pond area marked by buoys.

    Bike:
  • The bike will start in the Crandall softball field and go out the entrance road and right on to Cider Mill Road.
  • It will then trave along rural roads to Grant Hill Road back to the starting point.
  • This is not a closed course so participants need to be careful and obey all traffic regulations.

    Run:
  • The run heads out the park entrance, left on the sidewalk adjacent to Cider Mill Road, left to Lions field, into the Lions field parking lot following the paved path around to the right, behind Lions Field.
  • It then goes back to Cider Mill Road, right into the coned off area of the road, down the hill back past the Crandall Park entrance, past the lower parking lot, then right into the Parks & Facilities entrance road back up to the Bike transition area.
  • Then repeat the course and back to the finish line which will be marked.

    Unfortunately the event has been cancelled due to low enrollment.
