Reading Kids Triathlon will take place on June 29, 2013 at the Schlegel Park Pool in Reading, PA. Kids will enjoy a fun filled day of competition and great food after the race. There will be a pre-race meeting at 7:45 AM with the race starting at 8 AM. Each race category will start in 10 minute intervals with the oldest starting first. The pool is an 8 lane pool with 2 athletes per lane. The bike and run will take place on the beautiful Schuylkill River Trail. We will have plenty of water stations and volunteers along the trail to make sure competition rules and safety are followed. At the end of the race each finisher will receive a well-deserved medal. In addition, trophies will be given out to the top 3 male and female winners in each age category.
Course Information:
The course will begin and end at Schlegel Park in Reading, PA (Point A). All distances are determined by age, the map below shows the maximum bike and run distances for ages 13-15. Athletes will begin by swimming in the park pool, then biking and running on the Schuylkill River Trail. Three water stations will be fully staffed to help athletes not only rehydrate but stay on track during the race.
