This is a scavenger hunt race where you will use your legs for running, your brain for solving, and your beak for beer drinking (well, that last one is optional). This event is designed for participants of ALL levels from competitive athletes, to friends out for a day in the sun, to the "let's go all out, wear our funky costumes, and cluck like a chicken types." Teams will compete to solve 12 clues, and may even choose to skip 1 clue and still place in the race.

Course Information:

Course length? That is up to you! All participants will be given 12 clues at the start of the race. You must then solve the clues using your brains, phones, GPS, maps, and/or phone a friend. You will travel to each clue location by foot, bus, trolley, or street car where a dare or picture taking opportunity will be waiting for you. Most teams will end up putting in 3-6 miles to complete the race.

Your team must complete all clues, dares, and pictures together. All teams have the option of opting out of one clue. The top three teams to cross the finish line with at least 11 correct clues will win cash prizes. The best overall team costume and best chicken costume will also win cash prizes.

After Race Party!!!

There will be free water and snacks provided at the finish line. At the after race party, sit back, relax and listen to music while re-telling your tales of the day. We will have a raffle to support Franciscan Mission Service with awesome prizes from local businesses. Tickets for the raffle will be available for $1 each, or $3 for five tickets. Of course, Urban Chickens need to replenish after crossing the finish line, so delicious food and drinks will be available for purchase from Fountain Square, Cupping Cakes, and Whatever Pops. Discounted massages will also be offered courtesy of Lift Performance Enhancement.
