Get ready for the third annual Chilly Willy Showdown at the Wildman Adventure Resort! Grab your friends and join us for a day of whitewater races on the Peshtigo River.
Who: Anyone is welcome to participate! Enter as an individual or a team. There are also corporate entries as well. Worry not if you are new to the sport because the Wildman staff will be positioned along the river to assist those racers who cannot stay in their boats.
What: A series of Chilly Willy races will take place during the day and a post race social will follow the completion of the races. The social will include a trophy ceremony, a hot riverside meal, drinks, music, and a large bonfire. Winners will have their names etched into history on a trophy that remains on display year round at the Wildman Ranch.
When: Saturday, April 20th 11:30 AM
Where: The race will begin at the public put-in off of Farm Dam Road in Silver Cliff, WI, travel through the roaring rapids section of the Peshtigo River, and end at the Wildman Adventure Resort. Total race length is 2.75 miles.
Why: Because there is no better stretch of whitewater in the Midwest than the roaring rapids section of the Peshtigo River in the spring. The melting snow and spring rains make this section of the Peshtigo a mix of extreme rapids that range from Class II-IV.
Cost: $59 for adults - $49 for kids (17 and under- minimum age is 12) Save 10% when booking four or more people. Fee includes entry for the race, all of the equipment you will need (wetsuits, booties, splash jackets, helmet, raft, paddle, etc.), shuttle service, t-shirt*, access to free action photographs from the race, and food and drinks at the post race party.
Food and drink passes can be purchased separately for $15 each.
Register by April 5th to receive a free Chilly Willy Showdown t-shirt.
