2013 LG Triathlon:

  • Taking place on July 13, 2013, the 5th Annual LGTri is a sprint triathlon held in the scenic mountains of Colorado.
  • This race honors the memory of Laura Genelin, who passed away in July 2008 from colon cancer.
  • The LGTri helps keep Laura's passion for participating in triathlons alive in her hometown of Eagle, Colorado.
  • Proceeds from the race will benefit the Vail Valley Charitable Fund, helping locals like Laura in medical crisis since 1996.

    Triathlon Race Course:

  • The LG Sprint Tri consists of a 500 yard swim (10 laps) in the Eagle Pool followed by a 12 mile out and back bike from the transition area at the pool. Triathletes will cycle down the scenic Brush Creek Road to Adams Rib Ranch.
  • The third leg features a 5k run from the transition area at the pool down the bike path to Eagle Ranch Road where it connects with the Eagle Ranch bike path.
  • Turn around and head back to the Eagle pool for the finish.
  • This is a great course for first-timers and old pros alike,
