The 27th Annual Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon Event was held Saturday, July 13, 2013.
Healthy lifestyles and supporting children in need; can you think of any better reason to run? Enjoy your day with a walk/run down beautiful Spearfish Canyon!
Course Information:
Enjoy breathtaking scenery in Spearfish Canyon. The Half Marathon travels down the canyon from Savoy to the Spearfish City Park. Participants are bused to the start line at 6:35 am. This is a road race that also follows a paved trail at the base of the canyon.
The 5K follows a tree lined, paved path at the base of the canyon starting and finishing at the Spearfish City Park. Participants may run or walk. Families are encouraged to participate.
Directions:
Spearfish is located in the beautiful northern Black Hills of South Dakota. The canyon boasts a creek running along the road and rock outcroppings in a riparian zone.
The Spearfish City Park is located at the end of Canyon Street adjacent to the Spearfish Campground.
