"Walk Me Home.. to the place I belong" is the signature fundraising and awareness event for foster care in Kansas. Walk Me Home is a great way to support more than 1,300 children in foster care in the Kansas City metro area. This year hundreds of people will participate in Walk Me Home, raising funds to benefit children in foster care in Kansas City. Join the event at www.firstgiving.com/walkmehome/kvc2013 or create your own fundraising page to allow foster children to participate in recreational sports, high school dances, driver education, and so much more! Your kind generosity will help so many children and foster parents in the metro area through trainings and events!
Course Information:
The event will be at Theatre in the Park on the grounds of Shawnee Mission Park. The race starts on the paved trail in the southwest corner of Theatre in the Park's parking lot. Runners will lead the course following by walkers and families with strollers. Official race timing will be provided by Manhattan Running Company.
Directions:
The race will be held at Theatre in the Park, just north of the main entrance to Shawnee Mission Park. Check-in begins at 7:30 with the race starting at 9:00 a.m.
