DESCRIPTION: This
is a trail run at the beautiful Reveille Peak Ranch - home of gorgeous granite
rock outcroppings, challenging hilly terrain, and beautiful views. The 5k
will take you on dirt ranch roads through the beautiful hills of granite, creek
crossings, and bluebonnets for as far as the eye can see. You will have a great
pavilion/picnic area overlooking a lake at the finish.
The 15k trail run winds its way
up jeep road and then single track to the top of Decision Point Peak (the
highest peak on the ranch) where you can take in a great view before of the
ranch and Lake Buchanan below. This route showcases the beauty of the ranch,
winds around and up and down the granite rock, past miles of bluebonnets and
some very scenic creek crossings, before returning to the finish line.
For those of you that don't know
XTERRA ~ these are the most recognizable, enjoyable, root slipping, mud
sloshing, tree ducking, river crossing, hill climbing, dirt on your shirt,
sweat in your eye trail runs on the planet. Just saying, you may go off
the beaten path a time or two.

Both races start at 8:00 am
