Premier <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LeTour\">@LeTour<\/a> et premi\u00e8re victoire pour Calmejane ?<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TDF2017?src=hash\">#TDF2017<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0QQ9PV6Bey\">pic.twitter.com\/0QQ9PV6Bey<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Le Tour de France (@LeTour) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LeTour\/status\/883705510570201089\">July 8, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\nYesterday\u2019s stage which started at Dole and finished in Station des Rousses, saw many riders trying to surpass and steal the position of\u00a0Sky\u2019s team members. However, the British team proved itself to be stoic and completely in control of the race.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Even though Chris Froome was able to retain his yellow jersey while Lilian Calmejane took the stage&#8217;s victory,\u00a0yesterday\u2019s race saw another dangerous event that made Thomas and others as well to fear for their life.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JsO6bYM5tQQ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nOne of the most stressful moments for Britain\u2019s Team Sky was when a Froome\u2019s tactical but uncalculated move towards\u00a0the corner made Geraint Thomas to crash pretty hard.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Even though, fortunately, both riders didn\u2019t suffer any serious injury, the consequences could have been more serious if it wasn\u2019t for Thomas who was able to move in the right\u00a0direction controlling the crash as much as possible.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the race events, Thomas added: \u201cI went back for bottles and had just made it back to the front. The boys had gone in a bit hot and I obviously I just looked back and I was a second late in breaking. Then I was off the road and had the choice of going down and crashing into the woods or going into the hay bale.
